Our Mission
Baber Books has a mission of equipping the local church with biblically sound resources that strengthen discipleship, encourage spiritual growth, and support Christ-centered families. And through these resources, we seek to help Christians understand God’s Word more clearly, apply it more faithfully, and grow in their devotion to Jesus Christ.
Whether addressing Bible study, marriage, counseling, parenting, or Christian living, every resource is created with a commitment to biblical truth and a desire to see believers mature in Christlikeness.
Meet Thomas & Nancy baber
Thomas and Nancy have spent more than three decades serving Christ together both locally and abroad, through teaching, shepherding, writing, and life-on-life discipleship.
Thomas baber
Thomas has served for more than 20 years as pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Bryan, Texas. Beyond Emmanuel, he has served as an adjunct professor and board member in several seminary and missions contexts. He earned a Master of Divinity degree from The Master’s Seminary in Sun Valley, California and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.
Prior to his seminary studies, Thomas earned a BS and an MS in civil engineering from Texas A&M University. Thomas worked as a professional engineer for nearly two decades before entering full time ministry, in the roles of project manager, company president and business owner.
Nancy Baber
Nancy has faithfully served alongside Thomas throughout their ministry, investing in women, families, and the life of the church. She holds a Master of Theological Studies degree from Shepherds Theological Seminary. Nancy leads the Women’s Ministry at Emmanuel, shepherding women in all stages of life.
A Life of Ministry Together
Together, Thomas and Nancy have been married for more than thirty years and are the parents of six children and a growing number of grandchildren. Their writing reflects a lifelong passion for biblical discipleship, theological training, family ministry, and helping believers grow in their knowledge of Christ and His likeness.
Our Beliefs
At Baber Books, we believe that Scripture is the inspired, inerrant, sufficient, and authoritative Word of God. We are committed to teaching and writing that is rooted in sound biblical interpretation, centered on the person and work of Jesus Christ, and aimed at the spiritual growth of God’s people.

Our teaching and writing have been shaped by faithful pastors, theologians, and ministries that share a commitment to the authority of Scripture and the centrality of Christ.
